COAS Pakistan Army Arrived At ISI Headquarters

Rawalpindi - April 22, 2014

General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff visited Directorate General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) today. On arrival at Headquarters, Lieutenant General Zahir ul Islam, DG ISI received COAS. He was given detailed briefing on internal and external security situation of the country. COAS appreciated the role of ISI towards national security and lauded the contributions and sacrifices of its officers and men towards strengthening the defence of the motherland.

4th Pakistan Battalion Pak Army

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif,visited Pakistan Military Academy(PMA) Kakul today. His visit was focused on the current training regime for cadets and PMA’s capacity enhancement projects. He appreciated ongoing improvements in the training and administrative facilities. In order to cater for the requirements of Army ,he also laid the foundation stone of the 4th Pakistan Battalion.
Earlier on arrival,he was received by Inspector General Training and evaluation, Lieutenant General Ikram and Commandant PMA, Major General Nazir Butt.

Pak Army Will Train Royal Army Of Oman

A delegation headed by Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid Al Bulushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, today at General Headquarters.

During meeting with COAS, matters of mutual interest with particular reference to enhanced military cooperation in the field of training were discussed. Later, the delegation was given detailed briefing on operational and training activities of Pakistan Army.

Earlier on his arrival, the visiting dignitary was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army. Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid Al Bulushi also laid  floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

Chief Of Army Staff Visiting Army Air Defense Command

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif visited Sonmiani Ranges and witnessed Air Defense Firing Exercises. Full range of Air Defense Weapons including Guns and surface to air missiles were used in the exercise. The COAS greatly appreciated the professionalism of participating units and standards achieved in engaging aerial targets. While interacting with the troops, COAS reiterated that the multidimensional security threats faced by the country required a high state of preparedness at all times. Highest standard of training and professionalism must remain our hallmark to accomplish the mission, he emphasized. Earlier, on arrival at the Range, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahid Latif  Mirza, Commander Army Air Defense Command.

Investiture Ceremony At GHQ Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi - April 15, 2014

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif conferred military awards to the Army personnel in an investiture ceremony held at General Headquarters today. A large number of military officials and relatives of awardees attended the ceremony. 10 officers and 20 soldiers were awarded TAMGHA-E-BISALAT, 22 officers were awarded SITARA-I-IMTIAZ (MILITARY), and 3 soldiers were awarded United Nations (UN) Medal. Medals of Shuhada were received by their family members.
